It seems like recently I have been on a burger frenzy. And yes I have some catching up to do with the reviews, but keep an eye out for a few burger joints to be added to the site. On my weekly stroll to St. Marks Place to get Mamouns, I took a slight detour into Mark Burger as I saw a sign for sliders. Now get your minds of White Castle for a minute, because Mark Burger is the real deal!
For $2 you get a freshly cooked juicy greasy slider with cheese and onions, and in my case 2 sliders was all I needed to fill me up. This is not crappy dry meat burger! They also have 4 sauces sitting tablesideto choose from, traditional kethup, chipotle, jalapeno and the 4th I can not seem to remember at this moment. They also offer the option of back and a double patty slider.
After speaking with others, I have been told that I missed out and need to try their fries and milkshake. Perhaps on a future visit. Hey it is close to home and their slider was something I will want to go back for.

For health freaks out there Energy Kitchen is a place to check out. They have no items over 500 calories on their menu, but in addition they seem to have a special every month. For August 2010 they are offering $1 sides.
Now this might not sound so great, but this is a great option for a mid day snack. Their sides range from $2.99 to $4.99 and you can pull off a healthy filling meal under $3!
For the list of sides and locations check out their website!

Good new folks. It might not come as much of a surprise but many restaurants have decided to extend restaurant week until Labor Day weekend September 6th. Not all of the restaurants that participated in Restaurant week (7/12-7/23) will be participating though. For a complete list of those extending their special prix fixe for $24.07 lunch and $35.00 dinner check NYCGO.com.

In New York City you can find a Sushi restaurant at pretty much every block, but the beauty of living in NYC is trying to find your go to sushi restaurant. The place you can guarantee a quality meal constantly. Yo Sushi has quickly become this spot for me. I started by ordering from here often via SeamlessWeb, but eventually I found myself going for a sit down meal as well.
I can’t say there is one stand out item since every time I order I enjoy the meal. They have a special of 3 rolls for $14 and a beer for $1.99 which has become a staple order of mine. This is served with miso soup and a salad as well. As for the miso soup I must say, normally I am not a fan but at Yo Sushi you will always find me finishing the miso soup even in 90 degree weather!
Another reason I frequent Yo Sushi is their hibachi dishes. They do not have a sit down hibachi like Benihana, but their hibachi meals are amazing! I do find myself craving it! If you are in Gramercy and looking for a small sushi spot this is place to check out.

Recently, I decided on a whim to make a trip to LA to visit a cousin and the first night there we went to Katsuya for dinner. Katsuya is definitely one of those LA spots to been seen in.
Might as well just get to the point. There is no other way to put it! As far as Japanese restaurants are concerned Katsuya is far in a league of their own! Japanese Tapas is a great idea in itself but the quality and service at Katsuya really just set it apart from any where I have ever been.
Here is a run down of what we ordered, Yellowtail Sashimi w/ Jalapeno, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Lobster Dynamite, Miso Marinated Cod, King Crabs, Crab Roll, and Scallops w/ Garlic Soy sauce.
That is quiet a menu for two people, it is hard to say if any one item was better then the other, but I am partial towards yellowtail jalapeno anytime I get it.
If you are in the LA this is a must visit. Be careful as it is pricey; but they multiple locations in LA, so you have no excuse!

You probably did not expect to see a review for CitiField on the site; but then again I am a HUGE Mets fan and having the opportunity to check out the new CitiField I had to write a little something about the food.
Before we get to the food lets talk a bit about the park itself. AMAZING! What stood out to me from the park is that it is more of an experience then simply a baseball game. You can catch the game while trying to get a beer. Hey becareful you can even get hit by a foul ball while waiting for your beer! The design is made for the fans!
Now in additional to the typical ballpark food; behind center field is an area referred to as “Taste of the City.” In this area you will find the following Blue Smoke, Shake Shack, Box Frites, Carvel, Cascarinos Pizza, and a Beer Selection of over 30 beers! During my first trip I had fries from Box Frites, a Pulled Pork Sandwich and Chipotle Chicken Wings from Blue Smoke! This is sure a step up from the food at Shea! Do not get me wrong. I will miss Shea but certainly not the food!

Last night, I went to Brooklyn with a craving for the Anytime burger at Anytime cafe and to my surprise I found Anytime is gone and now stands The Lovin’ Cup Cafe. I am not sure how I can even be fair to this place as Anytime Cafe was one of my favorite spots and their burger was incomparable. I am drooling just thinking of the lamb burger with shrug!
But that is that and Anytime is gone and time for The Lovin’ Cup Cafe. The place has changed slightly, but they still have super cheap PBRs! I looked at the menu and the first thing that stuck out was that they had an everytime burger! Okay, this is a sick mind game! I asked the waitress if the cook was the same and I was told that everything is different and Lovin’ Cup focuses more on comfort food. The everytime burger came on a roll, with onions and Gorgonzola cheese. And similar to Anytime Cafe, they offered fries or tots. I got the burger with tots! The tots were pretty damn good! The burger was okay acceptable, but I have had better. Perhaps a trip over to The Creek in LIC or Thunder Jackson’s in Manhattan is a better option.
The vibe though was great, the staff friendly, so I have to give them some credit. As I said there is a very slight chance this place could impress me, since Anytime Cafe was a jewel in my eye! Anytime Cafe you will be missed, and if you come across it anywhere else PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!

With locations all over Manhattan and few locations in Queens, Jackson Hole is a spot that many have come to known and love. I originally ate there when I initially moved to Astoria. The draw is their 7 oz burgers, which are made fresh to order! They have many variations to the classic burger to fit all taste buds.
Currently living in Manhattan and around the corner from the Murray Hill location, I decided to order in since it has been few years since I have had a Jackson Hole burger. After looking through their options I settled on the Mexican burger .. made medium of course. I am not sure what to say, that their burgers are a perfect fix for the meaty burger craving. The Mexican burger came with chedder and jalapenos.. and be warned the jalapenos do pack a punch.
This is a great spot and if you are around one craving a burger; you need to stop in!
